NextSteps now has a tool that turns standard Next Steps Journeys into micro-websites with just one click. It adds a menu button and website title at the top, removes the Tap/Swipe-to-move function, and allows for custom page tags.
For Mission Teams
With this update, teams familiar with Next Steps can leverage the platform to build landing pages—all for free—with integrated analytics. It is an excellent complement to the standard Next Steps Journeys.

Attackers are using fake "join meeting" links and QR codes to take over WhatsApp accounts by linking them to a hacker's browser. This campaign targets specific groups but puts anyone at risk who scans a QR code from a website that is not official.
For Mission Teams
This is a major security risk because attackers could gain access to your private chats—including ministry-related conversations—as well as your contact lists. Never scan QR codes from unofficial sources or untrusted websites, even if they appear to be related to meetings or events. Teams leveraging WhatsApp for digital engagement projects should be especially vigilant and ensure links and QR codes come only from verified, official sources.

Did you know you can enable two‑factor authentication on your Echo Global tenant? Two‑factor authentication is an important feature for securing any online account—especially when it involves sensitive information such as ministry‑related conversations. It is recommended that this security feature be enabled on every platform missions teams use whenever possible—ideally through an authentication app or a physical security key such as a YubiKey, which are much more secure than traditional SMS or email authentication methods.
For Mission Teams
Check out the guide below from Echo Global to set it up on your Echo Tenant today:

A security flaw in the Modular DS plugin is putting over 40,000 WordPress websites at risk of being taken over by hackers. This bug allows attackers to bypass login screens and gain full control of a website without needing a password.
For Mission Teams
This is dangerous because an attacker could shut down your site, steal the contact information of seekers, or post harmful content. Teams using this plugin must update the Modular DS plugin to version 2.5.2 immediately and check their user lists for any new or suspicious administrator accounts.
This is also a good reminder that not all plugins are created equal, and that updates and security patches are essential. Regularly auditing sites and practicing good cybersecurity habits are vital to keeping teams, local believers, and projects safe and secure both online and offline.

Google is testing a new way to set spending limits by using a total amount for a specific time frame. Instead of a daily limit, advertisers can now set budgets by campaign total—similar to Meta’s Lifetime Budget.
Additionally, Google appears to be allowing some advertisers an expanded limit of up to 15 videos for Performance Max campaigns.
For Mission Teams
Both updates will give teams that leverage Google Ads for digital engagement greater flexibility and control over their budgets and content when using Search and Performance Max campaigns. Teams should check their accounts to see whether these updates have rolled out in their region.

Salesforce has released a new AI assistant for Slack that acts as a smart helper within workspace conversations. It can summarize long chat threads, draft documents, and search across your team’s data to surface answers quickly.
For Mission Teams
Teams using Slack can save hours of catch-up time by summarizing missed discussions in secure communication channels, helping teams stay aligned and work more efficiently.

Google has introduced a new feature called Data Transmission Control to help manage user information. This tool allows people running ads to choose exactly what data is sent to Google when privacy rules are strict.
For Mission Teams
This update is vital because it helps teams leveraging ads to stay compliant to data law requirements. Teams can now track if their ads are working without collecting personal details that could put people at risk.

Meta is officially bringing advertisements to Threads for all users worldwide starting next week. This update follows a year of testing and includes new formats like video and carousel ads that are managed through the same tools used for Facebook and Instagram.
For Mission Teams
The opening of Threads to global advertising provides a new platform for mission teams to find and connect with seekers in a text-based environment. Because these ads use Meta’s existing security and tracking systems, teams already leveraging Meta can apply the same strategies they use today to reach a broader audience as the Threads user base continues to grow globally.
