Meta's New Seller App

Meta has launched a new standalone app called Seller, designed specifically for merchants using Facebook Marketplace. The app includes AI-powered listing creation, inventory management, and a unified inbox to streamline the selling process and better compete with platforms such as eBay.

For Mission Teams

While primarily an e-commerce update, the new Seller app highlights Meta's continued push toward dedicated, feature-rich platforms. Although Meta's long-term plans for the app remain unclear, its launch suggests the company is continuing to expand its ecosystem of specialized business tools. If the app gains widespread adoption, it could eventually become another platform where advertisers, including ministry teams, can reach their audiences through paid campaigns.

Equipping Churches with CV Global Activation Hubs

CV Global has added Activation Hubs to its new website to provide churches with practical tools and training for digital ministry. These resource centers equip believers to confidently share their faith and connect with people searching for answers online.

For Mission Teams

These hubs provide proven strategies to help teams find digital seekers through social media advertising and guide them into local disciple-making groups. By using these specialized tools, teams can strengthen their digital engagement efforts while helping protect ministry accounts from online security threats.

Maximizing Digital Outreach Using Google Ad Strength

Google Ads uses a helpful tool called Ad Strength to grade your ads from poor to excellent based on their overall quality. Getting a high grade means your ads will perform better and show the most effective messages to your audience.

For Mission Teams

Testing multiple ad assets allows your team to securely reach specific audiences without raising red flags on digital platforms. This strategy improves your online engagement so you can easily find local seekers and turn them into disciples.

Understanding Bid Multipliers for ChatGPT Ads

ChatGPT Ads now include a new feature called bid multipliers that allows advertisers to increase or decrease bids for specific audience segments. This tool provides greater control over who sees your ads, but it currently works only with custom audience lists containing at least 25,000 users.

For Mission Teams

Using these multipliers allows your team to strategically adjust your ad spend based on your target persona.

Meta's New AI Text Swap for Ad Images

Meta has a new tool called Advantage+ Creative Text Generation that uses artificial intelligence to automatically rewrite the text within your ad images. This feature creates multiple variations while preserving your original fonts, colors, and overall design.

For Mission Teams

This time-saving feature allows mission teams to generate more diverse creative variations directly within Meta's platform. Additionally, all content generated by this tool requires approval from the marketer, helping ensure that poorly generated or inconsistent copy is not published without human oversight.

Social Media Shifts From Sharing to Viewing

People are posting less about their own lives and treating social media more like television. While they share fewer personal updates, they are actually spending more time watching short videos.

For Mission Teams

Social media usage habits are changing. While users may be scrolling for different reasons, they are still spending significant time on social media platforms. Mission teams are encouraged to adapt to these changing trends by creating more short-form video content to meet potential seekers where they are.

UAE Launches AI-Powered Judicial Platform

The United Arab Emirates just launched a new computer system that uses artificial intelligence to speed up their court cases. While this smart tool organizes files and researches laws, human judges will still make all the final choices.

For Mission Teams

As governments use powerful artificial intelligence systems to process digital data and manage staggering caseloads, these tools may help address overwhelming workloads, but they also raise important questions about the role of AI in legal proceedings. A larger question remains: if governments are using AI in this way, what other applications may exist?

Nation-states are increasingly leveraging these tools to monitor missionaries, national believers, and even mission websites and platforms. Mission teams, churches, and agencies are strongly encouraged to audit their systems for cybersecurity risks, educate workers and teams on best practices, and explore secure platforms for communication, logistics, and other operational needs.

Google Expands Lead Form Access for Smaller Advertisers and Rolls out AI Labels

Google Ads has removed its high spending requirement, allowing smaller organizations to collect user contact information directly through search ads. The platform has also expanded these lead-generation features to additional countries and provided updated guidelines for labeling AI-generated image assets.

Additionally, marketers can now apply their own "AI-generated" label to ads that contain AI-generated content, helping promote greater transparency and authenticity.

For Mission Teams

Lowering these budget requirements allows smaller mission teams to strategically run ad campaigns that engage online seekers directly. To maintain security, teams must carefully manage seeker contact data within Google's data storage timelines as they build discipleship connections.

Regarding AI labels, these can be helpful for teams operating in contexts where users have grown fatigued by AI-generated content and may have increased distrust or concerns about its use. Clearly disclosing that content was AI-generated may help address those concerns. However, teams are still encouraged to test the feature before fully adopting it.

Facebook Launches Free Profile Verification

Facebook is introducing a free verification badge that uses a short video selfie to prove you are a real person. This new tool helps users know they are talking to actual humans instead of fake accounts created by computers. This only works for personal accounts, however.

For Mission Teams

Knowing an account belongs to a real person improves authenticity because teams can confidently connect with genuine seekers. This verification also boosts security against fake profiles, making our social media strategy safer for finding and discipling new believers online. For teams operating in more secure contexts this may not be an option.

New Ask Advisor Tool in Google Analytics

Google created a new chat tool in Google Analytics to help you understand your website traffic more easily. You can simply ask it questions to learn how many people are visiting your pages and why they leave.

For Mission Teams

Teams can utilize this AI agent to help analyze and understand their app and website data. It reviews your outreach securely within your specific account, allowing you to safely track engagement and grow your digital evangelism.

Weekly Marketing Rundown - May 8, 2026 Welcome to this week's edition of Kavanah Media's Weekly Marketing Rundown! This week features significant updates from Meta, including AI connection usage rates and more. Additionally, there are changes to Google Ads, the latest developments regarding Turkey's social media restrictions, and other important news. Enjoying the Weekly Marketing Rundown? Support our work and keep it free for missions teams worldwide: https://www.kavanahmedia.com/donatetoKM Meta AI Connectors for Ad Management Meta now allows advertisers to manage their ad campaigns using popular AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude. This new feature simplifies the process by removing the need for complex technical setups or developer credentials. For Mission Teams A few weeks ago there were widespread reports of marketers have their ad accounts disabled for integration AI tools through third party means. Meta appears to have made an official connection, but many still urge caution.  Missions team hoping to leverage AI tools for ads management would be wise to hold off or exclusively use the new built Meta AI Business Assistant for the time being https://www.jonloomer.com/meta-ads-ai-connectors-claude/ Meta Daily Active Users Decline For the first time Meta reported a slight drop in the total number of people using its apps for the first time. This decrease happened mostly because of internet shutdowns and app restrictions in specific countries like Iran and Russia. For Mission Teams Even though Meta reported this slight drop in app usage, their add revenue is still growing and is likely simple related to global events. However, a drop in users highlights the risk of relying on single platforms for digital evangelism. Teams should diversify their outreach strategies to ensure they can still reach seekers when specific apps are blocked. https://www.jonloomer.com/meta-ads-ai-connectors/ Vimeo Data Breach Exposes Personal Information A security breach at Vimeo recently exposed the personal data of over 100,000 users due to a vulnerability in their system. This leaked information included names and email addresses, though passwords and financial details were reportedly not compromised. For Mission Teams Missions teams leveraging Vimeo as part of their digital engagement strategies should verify if their accounts have been compromised or not. This also highlights the importance of practicing strong cybersecurity hygiene such as utilizing strong passwords and MFA. https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/vimeo-data-breach-exposes-personal-information-of-119-000-people/ Google Analytics 4 Task Assistant Update Google Analytics has launched Task Assistant to provide a guided checklist for improving property setup and data collection. This feature, found in the left navigation menu, organizes tailored recommendations into categories like account connections and data troubleshooting. For Mission Teams This assistant could help simplify the setup and management of data collection in GA4. Using this tool helps teams identify and fix data gaps that could otherwise compromise the security or effectiveness of digital outreach. https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/16888318?hl=en ChatGPT Ads Expansion OpenAI has launched a self-service Ads Manager, significantly lowering the barrier for businesses to advertise within ChatGPT. The minimum spend has dropped from $250,000 to $50,000, and the platform is moving toward a cost-per-click (CPC) model. For Mission Teams While still out of the reach of missions teams ad budgets this significant price drop could be a good signal. If prices continue to fall ChatGPT ads could become a viable platform for teams to leverage in their digital engagement projects. Additionally, other AI platforms may follow suit.  https://www.searchenginejournal.com/openai-launches-self-serve-ads-manager-for-chatgpt/573971/ Turkey Social Media Restrictions- Update  Turkey has passed a law banning children under 15 from social media to increase online safety for minors. Platforms must now use strict age verification and give parents more control over what their children see. For Mission Teams  Thus far Turkiye’s response to social media is similar to many countries around the world- age restrictions. It is unclear what further restrictions may come. Teams leveraging digital engagement tools in Turkiye should keep apprised of local news and adjust their strategies accordingly.  https://apnews.com/article/turkey-social-media-children-restrictions-law-d88963a7446a12cf4963b73d455b5ef7 Google Search Integrates Reddit Quotes Google is updating its AI search summaries to include direct quotes and advice from Reddit and other social forums. This change aims to provide users with authentic, human-focused answers by highlighting real discussions and community expertise. For Mission Teams This update means seeker questions about faith may now surface organic community discussions alongside traditional search results. Teams could consider leveraging these platforms as these peer-to-peer conversations now have significantly higher visibility in digital outreach. https://www.theverge.com/tech/924993/google-ai-search-mode-overviews-update-reddit-links Rising Facebook Account Lockouts Facebook is experiencing a surge in account lockouts as automated AI systems mistakenly flag normal user behavior as suspicious activity. These aggressive security filters often leave users stuck in a difficult appeal process with very little human support available to fix the errors. Members of the Kavanah Team have also seem a similar surge in Meta Ad account restrictions as of late.  For Mission Teams Over-active AI policing is causing problems for many. Teams should exercise caution when making major changes to Meta Business Suite settings, and even logging in while traveling. If pages, accounts or systems are restricted successful recovery is rare. https://searchengineland.com/why-facebook-account-lockouts-are-rising-and-whats-driving-them-476546 Facebook Sees Massive Engagement Surge Even in the midst of lower reported app usage in Q1 Facebook is experiencing a sudden and dramatic increase in organic reach, with some brands seeing their views and clicks nearly double. Meta is achieving this by updating its algorithm to prioritize original content and better rewards for creators who post directly to the platform. For Mission Teams This shift could prove to be a strategic window for mission teams to reach significantly more seekers without increasing their paid advertising budget. Teams should experiment with posting authentic, original video content now to take advantage of this increased visibility before the platform's reach potentially stabilizes. https://open.substack.com/pub/milkkarten/p/something-is-happening-on-facebook Instagram Testing Text Swaps for Reels Instagram is testing a new feature called Swap that allows users to replace the text on someone else’s video. This tool could let people quickly remix popular content, although it may conflict with recent rules against unoriginal posts. For Mission Teams Teams could potentially use popular trending videos to share gospel messages by simply swapping in biblical text or seeker-focused questions. However, this strategy carries a risk because it would make it easier for bad actors to swap out texts on Gospel centered content to distort the messaging before sharing it again.  https://www.socialmediatoday.com/news/instagram-tests-option-to-swap-out-text-in-someone-elses-reels/819153/ Stay Equipped for Digital Engagement  Looking for ways to use digital tools to grow evangelism and disciple-making? Weekly Marketing Rundown - October 30, 2026
Weekly Marketing Rundown - October 30, 2026 Welcome to this week’s edition of Kavanah Media’s Weekly Marketing Rundown! We’re diving into the latest updates you need to know including a Signal security patch, Meta's latest advice regarding ad performance, Google's new Translate Ad feature, and more. Enjoying the Weekly Marketing Rundown? Support our work and keep it free for missions teams worldwide: https://www.kavanahmedia.com/donatetoKM Meta Says to Stop Changing Ad Campaigns So Often Meta says each ad set needs about 50 conversions per week for its system to learn whom to show ads to. Before reaching that threshold, any edits to a campaign or its targeting are merely guesswork. According to Meta’s analysis, ad sets below that threshold paid about 28% more per purchase, and frequent edits make it harder to reach that level. For Mission Teams Small ministry budgets may make reaching 50 conversions a week challenging, but volume is key. If an ad does not seem to be performing well, teams should consider increasing the ad budget to generate more conversions rather than over-tweaking the creative. A/B testing can help provide the algorithm with clearer signals, but simply leaving things alone for a while and giving the algorithm time to work often proves fruitful. https://www.socialmediatoday.com/news/meta-says-advertisers-should-let-campaigns-gather-data/833906/ Advertisers Now Responsible for Meta’s AI Changes Starting October 30, Meta’s new ad terms say advertisers are “solely responsible” for anything Meta’s AI creates or changes in their ads. Some advertisers have found AI-added images, translations, and links in live ads they never approved. For Mission Teams An automatic translation or AI-generated image could alter a gospel message in ways that are inaccurate or culturally offensive, and your ministry would be held responsible. Teams should review every Advantage+ creative output before publishing ads and turn off any tools that produce awkward or inaccurate creative content. https://www.adweek.com/media/advertisers-pull-meta-ads-that-had-unwanted-ai-glow-ups/ Facebook Limits Link Posts for Some Nonprofit Pages Facebook is testing a limit of two link posts per month for some Pages, with paid plans starting around $50 a month for more. Meta says nonprofits should not be affected, but several charities and a public library were limited anyway. For Mission Teams Ministry Pages that share links to websites, Bible resources, or donation pages could suddenly hit this cap. To avoid it, make sure your Page category lists “nonprofit,” since Meta says that is how its system decides who is exempt. https://www.engadget.com/2295422/meta-is-charging-government-and-nonprofit-pages-to-post-links-on-facebook/ Discord Public Chats Coming to Web Search Starting November 16, Discord will create public web pages for large “Discoverable” servers, featuring AI-generated summaries of public channel conversations. Starting in mid-December, messages from public channels may also appear in web search results, without usernames or profile pictures. For Mission Teams Teams that run or participate in large public Discord servers should check which channels will be visible, as conversations could become searchable even without names attached. Admins can opt channels out under Server Settings > Web Presence, while members can turn off sharing in their Data and Privacy settings. https://discord.com/blog/making-content-from-discoverable-servers-easier-to-discover Critical Signal Bug Could Keep Calls Open After Hanging Up A critical flaw in Signal’s calling system could let a caller keep a call running after you think you have hung up. The bug could leave your microphone, and possibly your camera, active, but it has been fixed in the latest version of the app. For Mission Teams Many teams rely on Signal for sensitive calls, so this flaw could expose private conversations about seekers, partners, or locations. Every team member should update Signal on their phones and computers right away and avoid discussing sensitive topics immediately after a call ends until they have updated the app. https://www.theregister.com/security/2026/10/21/signal-bug-could-keep-your-mic-and-camera-on-after-hangup/5304528 AI Email Summaries and Reader Engagement Email apps are now using artificial intelligence to read your newsletters and create short summaries for your subscribers. This means a machine might replace your subject line and decide which parts of your message are most important. For Mission Teams This shift impacts digital engagement because seekers will likely read a machine-generated summary first, requiring your primary discipleship message, missionary newsletters, or support raising campaign emails to be obvious from the start. https://www.audiencebridge.io/p/your-newsletter-has-two-readers-now?utm_source=tldrmarketing Meta Advertising Features Explained Meta recently introduced three new ad features: “Ads Super Burst,” which offers category-exclusive ad windows that other advertisers cannot book; “First Impression Ads,” which places an ad at the top of the feed; and “Aggregated View Time,” which measures total weekly video views. While the first two are likely aimed at big brands with large budgets, the new video metric will affect how all advertisers track their performance. For Mission Teams While large-scale burst features might not fit typical budgets, ministries or projects with larger budgets could use them to have ad spot exclusivity for events or launches. Additionally, First Impression ads could ensure your ads have the first ad serve, but this will likely come at a higher price tag. Understanding the shift toward aggregated video metrics is critical for digital evangelism. It implies that consistent, engaging video content over time will be key to safely connecting with seekers and guiding them into online discipleship pathways. https://www.jonloomer.com/qvt/ads-super-burst-first-impression-ads-aggregated-view-time/?utm_source=video_alerts&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=10262026&inf_contact_key=02839d451437ea562610e3da8a639abe7e470d92b8b75168d98a0b8cac0e9c09 ChatGPT Ads Creative Enhancements OpenAI is turning on a feature that automatically lets AI rewrite your ad headlines, change images, translate text, and switch destination URLs in ChatGPT Ads without your approval. Advertisers who want to keep control over exactly what their ads say must manually opt out in their account settings before October 30. For Mission Teams This automation could inadvertently alter your carefully written messages, which might change the tone or direct seekers to the wrong online resources. To keep your digital outreach secure and accurate, you should review these settings and opt out if you need strict control over your discipleship materials and landing pages. https://mean.ceo/tpost/chatgpt-ads-creative-enhancements Google Ads AI Campaign Localization Tool Google has a new tool that can quickly duplicate a Search campaign and translate its keywords, text, and landing pages into ten different languages. However, you must carefully review the translations before starting the campaign because the AI might misinterpret brand names, legal terms, or numbers. For Mission Teams This translation feature makes it easier to reach non-English speakers, allowing you to share the gospel with diverse communities more efficiently. However, you must have a native speaker review the translated ads to ensure the theological message is accurate and culturally appropriate before launching the campaign. https://miraflow.ai/blog/google-ads-ai-campaign-localization-tool-search-2026 AI Max in Google Ad Grants Google is automatically turning on a feature called "AI Max" in some Ad Grants accounts, which helps campaigns spend more by showing ads in AI search overviews and expanding keyword matches. This feature gives the AI more freedom to decide where and how your ads appear, including showing ads for different pages on your website than you originally chose. For Mission Teams While this tool can expand your digital ministry’s reach by finding new ways to spend your grant money, it could also display your ads to irrelevant audiences or direct users to unintended pages. You should monitor your Ad Grants account closely and turn off AI Max if you need precise control over which seekers see your ads and which pages they are directed to. https://support.google.com/nonprofits/community-video/406833041/ai-max-in-google-ad-grants?hl=en Stay Equipped for Digital Engagement  Looking for ways to use digital tools to grow evangelism and disciple-making?
